NEET PG is a qualifying cum ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 10(D) of Indian Medical Council Act 1956.

No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid
for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses.

NEET is mandatory even for foreign nationals seeking admission in medical courses in India. 

NEET-PG 2020 shall be a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely ‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Postgraduate Medical Courses’ for the academic session 2019 which will include the following:

  1. All India 50% quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses (all states except Jammu & Kashmir)
  2. State quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Jammu & Kashmir)
  3. MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at all Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country
  4. MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
  5. DNB Broad specialty courses (January 2019 Admission Session)

The following Medical institutions are not covered by centralized admissions for MD/MS seats through NEET-PG for 2020 session:

  1. AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS
  2. PGIMER, Chandigarh
  3. JIPMER, Puducherry
  4. NIMHANS, Bengaluru
  5. Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum
  • No state government /private medical college/universities including the states of Jammu & Kashmir shall be conducting any separate entrance exam for admission to their MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses for the academic session 2020-2021

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NEET PG :

Candidates in possession of MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or/are likely to complete the internship on or before 31st March 2020, may apply for NEET-PG 2020 through online application system at website www.nbe.edu.in

Candidates who have studied/passed MBBS from the states of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for All India 50% Quota seats. However, the candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to do MBBS from Medical Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible to apply for admission. Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring that he/she was nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to do MBBS from Medical Colleges in  Jammu & Kashmir to the Deputy Director (Examinations) National Board of Examinations, Medical Enclave, Ansari Nagar, Mahatma Gandhi Marg, (Ring Road), New Delhi – 110029 along with the print out of the acknowledgement of submission of online application for NEET-PG 2020 latest by 30th November 2019. SCHEME OF EXAMINATION : The exam shall be computer based test (CBT) conducted on a single day in a single session. i.e. on 5th January 2020 from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM

Admit card will be issued to the candidate once testing venue has been allotted to the candidate by NBE in the city chosen by the candidate during online submission of application form. Candidates will be informed through SMS alerts and Public Notice regarding downloading of the admit card through website from 28th December 2019.
Candidates are required to download their admit card from the website and affix their latest passport size photograph in the space provided on the admit card. Admit card will not be sent to the candidates by Post. The photograph should have the following specifications

Result for NEET-PG 2020 will be available on the website www.nbe.edu.in by 31st January, 2020.

Demo Test : A demo test shall be available for the benefit of candidates to familiarize
themselves with the Computer Based Test  format at website www.nbe.edu.in. Applicants will be able to access the Demo test from 15th December, 2019 onwards

NEET PG website http://neetpg.nbe.edu.in/ for the online registration and scheduling process.

Examination Fee For Neet PG : 

NEET PG Exam fee:

For SC/ST/PWD candidates : Rs. 2750/-

For General/OBC candidates : Rs. 3750/-

The above exam fee is inclusive of examination fees and Information Bulletin. Information Bulletin will not be sold separately. Information Bulletin shall be available at NEET-PG website for information.

How to pay For Neet PG : 

The prescribed registration fee should be remitted through payment gateway
provided using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or through
Internet Banking. For more information, please visit the website www.nbe.edu.in

Fees Shall Neither Be Refunded Nor Carried Forward If The Application For NEETPG is Rejected/Candidature is Found To Be Ineligible Or Candidate is Unable To Appear in The Examination.
